As part of the Discovery Campus for Exact Sciences, located on the former Rayovac World Headquarters site, the Amenities Building creates a heart of the Campus. Exact Sciences wanted to create their Discovery Campus with a Customer Service Center and an Amenities Facility that follows through on their commitment to employee wellness and promote employee recruitment and retention. Their core values of innovation, integrity, quality, teamwork, and accountability inspired the design while showcasing their dedication to sustainability. Deepening Exact’s dedication to our local community they chose to redevelop an existing site with an urban infill campus that celebrates their staff, employee wellness, sustainability and innovation as well as creating a warm, comfortable and rejuvenating space.
Supporting their dedication to employee health and wellness this facility houses event dining and food service areas, state of the art workout facilities, locker rooms, and a range of technology-enhanced collaboration spaces. The building creates a “living room” on Campus for staff to work, eat, mingle, see and be seen, as well as take a break from their space. This bustling activity zone offers a range of hospitality spaces and flexible seating options. There is extensive natural daylight and a rich natural finish palette sprinkled with preserved moss walls offering users a connection to nature while indoors. As a showplace for healthy interiors, the project offers staff the power of choice in their surroundings with a range of spaces from quiet and secluded to energetic and engaging. Natural daylight pours into the interiors further supporting the wellness goals of the project.
